On Friday, May 19, Roundabout Raleigh joined forces to donate 75 pounds of canned goods, packaged foods and other household necessities to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC. Thanks to online contributions, the participating businesses were also able to donate an additional 250 meals! The 30-day food drive was the second of its kind for Roundabout Raleigh, a recently established affiliation of Hillsborough Street businesses coming together to support the community. In February 2017, Roundabout Raleigh hosted a pillow drive for Interact.
We would like to thank Carolinas IT, Vann Attorneys, Liquid State and FatCat Strategies for organizing this food drive. Additionally, we would like to thank the Food Bank for working tirelessly to end hunger throughout Central and Eastern North Carolina. Nearly 636,920 people, including the elderly and children, struggle to access nutritious and adequate amounts of food to live a healthy life. Just because our food drive has ended, does not mean support for the Food Bank has to stop. Organize your own food drive, consider making a monetary donation, or volunteer your time onsite at one of the six Food Bank branches spread across 34 counties in NC. Together, we can have a tremendous impact on hunger relief.
