In March, FatCat Strategies welcomed two new hires onto their dynamic team of marketers: Emily Kohler and Caitlyn West. The decision to expand the team came as a collective decision among business partners, Janet Mobley and Jessica Berry, to continue to grow the company’s ability to manage new clients and increase the skillset of the long list of services FatCat already offers.

“The only way we can keep our clients happy and grow our business is by delivering great service.  And, we can’t provide great service without great people,” explains Mobley, Founder & Managing Partner of FatCat Strategies. “I’m happy to say that our two recent hires fit that description.”

With a degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, Emily Kohler was working as an in-house graphic designer until she joined the FatCat team. In addition to her graphic design work, Kohler brings her incredible 2D animation and illustration skills to the company. She loves the satisfaction of transforming a client’s initial concept into a finished product and knowing the client is happy.

“I’m happy to join a chummy group of people who work hard and genuinely care about their clients,” describes Kohler. “Our projects require a team effort and it’s awesome knowing everyone here has your back.”

Caitlyn West was hired on as the new Content Marketing Specialist, focusing on content strategy and creation for FatCat’s clients. A graduate of NC State University, West has a B.A. in Communication-Public Relations and a minor in Nonprofit Studies. She is proud to have managed the marketing and communications for two nonprofit organizations before transitioning into the for-profit world.

“Through my experience of creating and applying new communication strategies for two totally different organizations, I knew I was ready to join an agency that would allow me to grow those successful tactics amongst a variety of clients,” explains West. “I feel really lucky to be a part of this extremely talented team. We get high-quality work done and we all support each other.”

Now with a month under Kohler and Wests’ belts, FatCat is already starting to see an increase in abilities to further advance this agency’s long list of services.

“Every time we welcome new staff members aboard, they bring their own unique skills, talents, experience and stories. It’s so fun to watch those new personalities blend with our existing team to make us better as a whole,” Mobley continues. “It’s probably my favorite part of running a small business.”
