Are you looking for ways to refine your contractor marketing tactics and make your paid Facebook campaigns more effective? Use Facebook’s Detailed Targeting feature to target home improvement prospects.
What is Detailed Targeting?
It’s a tool that helps show your ads to the people most likely to buy. And that only makes sense, right? You’re never going to sell a kitchen remodeling job to a renter. Likewise, if you service one metropolitan area, you’re not going to sell a job three states away. That’s targeting.
Example of Facebook targeting for home improvement prospects
Just for kicks, I used Facebook’s targeting features to create an audience likely to be interested in home improvement services here in Raleigh, NC.
Here’s a screenshot I took while I writing this post:
With just a few clicks, I was able to narrow and target people that match this list:
- Within 25+ miles of Raleigh NC
- Age 30 -65+
- Interests:
- Home improvement
- House renovation
- Renovation or remodeling my home
- Income:
- $100,000 – $350,000
- Homeownership = homeowners

If you’re not using the Detailed Targeting tool as part of your contractor marketing strategy, I encourage you to consider it.
